At ICONIC we have a strong focus on fun and releasing the young in the community into dance. We have a passion to encourage greater self-awareness, higher self-esteem, building character into the kids of the North Coast area, teaching skillful modest dancing, reclaiming its purity, and always expanding on the physical, emotional and mental health benefits of dance. All in all, our aim is to bring the skill and art of dance to all of the North Coast Area, encouraging everyone to be ICONIC in their own way.

Meet the Team

Owner/Founder and Choreographer
Michaela has worked as a lyrical, contemporary and hip hop/streetdance choreographer and performer for many years now. She first studied Mental Health Nursing at Queens University but after her studies and starting a family Michaela decided she wanted to create an environment for children where they could feel safe and supported to build their self esteem, encourage greater self awareness, and develop character. In 2013 she founded ICONIC Street Dance where she is currently Choreographer, Artistic Director and Manager.
Coach and Choreographer
Sydney has trained and performed as a dancer for several years. She has been a student at ICONIC and now alongside studying Psychology at Queens University in Belfast, she has come on board as one of our part-time coaches to facilitate a number of our classes and programmes. Sydney is an extremely talented dancer and now a wonderfully gifted coach. She is passionate about dancing and loves being able to share this passion with others within ICONIC
Laura Kelly

Laura Kelly
Laura is our longest attending member of ICONIC, first as a student then volunteering and now as a coach. We are so thrilled to have her as part of the team in this capacity. Laura has trained as a dancer all her life and now alongside studying Beauty at NRC, she is one of our part-time coaches, facilitating a number of our classes and partnership projects. Laura is extremely talented, hardworking and committed to sharing her passion and talent for dancing within ICONIC.
